Visa for international conference (conference Visa) may be issued to delegates from outside India, if they produce an invitation to a conference/seminar/workshop etc., being organized in India by a Ministry, Department of Govt. of India, State Government, public Sector Undertaking, Central Education Institutions, Public Funded Universities or an organization owned and controlled by the Govt. of India or State Govt., UN or its specialized agency and reputed NGO. Visa for International Conference or on subjects, as declared by the Govt. of India, can be issued only after the clearance for the said conference from the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. Further special guidelines are also provided by the Govt. of India for issuing visa to an individual(s) from the restricted countries and if conference is to be held in the restricted regions of India.
